Make a Meaningful Difference Across Mental Health and Housing Support

At Inspire, we’re proud to support people with mental health needs as they build confidence, connect with others, and live independently in the community.

As a Project Worker across both our Community Wellbeing Services and Housing Support services in the Southern Trust area, you’ll have the opportunity to work in two vital spaces: delivering recovery focused group programmes and providing personalised, practical and emotional support to people living in their own homes.

It’s a varied, people-centred role where you’ll see the impact of your work every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

In our Community Wellbeing Services (Dungannon and Armagh):

•            Facilitate creative, social and therapeutic group sessions (e.g. arts, gardening, cookery, anxiety management)

•            Support people to manage mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression or isolation

•            Offer structured key working and wellbeing support planning

•            Support members to access community resources and health services

•            Work in partnership with service users to co-design activities and build connections

In our Housing Support Services (Dungannon and Newry):

•            Support people in their self-contained flats with emotional and practical support (e.g. budgeting, cooking, benefits and daily routines)

•            Promote independence, wellbeing and recovery through person-centred support planning

•            Help people maintain their tenancy, access health care and opportunities within the local community

•            Offer consistent, practical support and problem-solving in a non-judgemental, respectful way

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll be a warm, reliable, and flexible team player with a genuine passion for helping others. To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

✔ Strong communication and people skills

✔ A calm, non-judgemental approach

✔ Good organisational and time management skills

✔ Confidence using IT systems

✔ A willingness to travel between sites as needed

✔ Experience in mental health or community support settings is a bonus, but not essential

What You’ll Bring to the Team

•            Creativity, positivity and initiative

•            A person-centred mindset and strong values around inclusion and dignity

•            Willingness to support a wide range of people, from young adults to  older individuals

•            Adaptability – each day will be different, and you’ll need to be ready to  shift gears when needed

What We Offer

•            A great work-life balance – Monday to Friday only, no evenings or weekends

•            Comprehensive training and structured induction

•            A supportive team culture and regular supervision

•            25 days annual leave, increasing with service (plus public holidays)

•            Company pension, sick pay scheme, employee assistance and wellbeing programme

•            Opportunities to grow, progress and make a real impact in people’s lives

Why This Role Matters

  • “You’re helping to keep people well in the community. You’re giving them the chance to live independently and build a life on their own terms – and that’s huge.”
  • “No two days are ever the same, and every day is a learning day.”
  • This is a blended role with the chance to bring your energy and compassion to both group-based recovery support and practical, one-to-one housing support.
  • You’ll be part of a team that values inclusion, honesty, kindness and innovation – and you’ll help make a real difference at the heart of local communities.
