Support People to Connect, Grow, and Thrive, Join Belfast CWS

At Belfast Community Wellbeing Service, we provide therapeutic support, group sessions, and 1:1 interventions to help people across the city reconnect with their communities, manage their mental health, and build structure into their lives.

We work with people aged 18–65, offering a welcoming, creative, and flexible approach to recovery.

What Makes Belfast CWS Special?

We’re not your typical support service. At CWS, we help people choose the support that works for them, from our rotating programme of groups to flexible 1:1 key working.

Our team works across community centres and outreach locations, delivering:

✅ Personal development sessions and goal-setting support

✅ Walking groups, cinema trips, brunch clubs, quizzes & karaoke

✅ Wellbeing-focused activities, including healthy living and holistic wellness

✅ We work to build a social hub for connection and community

✅ Tailored key working, including multidisciplinary liaison and practical goal setting

What Does the Role Involve?

As a Project Worker, you will:

🔹 Work Monday–Friday, with one late evening per week (Weds rota)

🔹 Deliver group sessions, facilitate safe spaces, and adapt content to suit participants

🔹 Provide individual support and keyworking—building support plans, reviewing progress, and adjusting goals

🔹 Lone work and outreach across Belfast, collaborating with colleagues and community partners

🔹 Help people reduce isolation, build confidence, and feel more connected

What We Offer:

💡 A creative and adaptable environment—no two weeks are the same

🤝 A welcoming, supportive team who are known for their calm, collaborative style

🌟 Structured shadowing and onboarding, with weekly group allocation for new staff

📈 Opportunities to develop your facilitation, support, and community engagement skills

Who Thrives Here?

✔ Someone who’s open-minded, non-judgmental, and compassionate

✔ A natural communicator who’s comfortable facilitating groups and thinking on their feet

✔ Someone who’s not afraid of a challenge and knows how to set boundaries with warmth

✔ A people person who brings energy, creativity, and flexibility to the team

Why Join Belfast CWS?

🏆 Because you’ll work somewhere that centres people in everything we do

🤝 Because our team is built on trust, encouragement, and humour

💬 Because the people we support tell us this is a place where they can truly be themselves
