The Vacancy

At Inspire Wellbeing, we believe food is more than a meal , it’s a moment of comfort, care and community. We’re currently looking for a Relief Cook to join our team and help create a warm, welcoming environment for the people we support.

This is more than just cooking. As a Relief Cook, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the health and wellbeing of residents, preparing meals that are nutritious, personalised and full of flavour.

What You’ll Be Doing

Planning and preparing balanced, varied meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen and food storage areas
Managing food budgets and ordering supplies efficiently
Supporting mealtimes by serving meals and ensuring a positive, dignified dining experience
Contributing to the overall atmosphere of care and respect within the service
Working flexibly across services when required, including weekends

What You’ll Bring

✅ A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

✅ Experience working in a kitchen or catering environment

✅ Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations

✅ The ability to plan menus and manage food stock efficiently

✅ A caring, person-centred approach and willingness to work as part of a team

✅ Flexibility to cover shifts when needed, including weekends
