Relief Project Worker – Make a Difference in Mental Health Recovery

Are you passionate about supporting people to live independently and achieve their goals?

At Inspire, we’re looking for a Relief Project Worker to join our Mental Health & Addiction Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide person-centred support in a recovery-focused environment.

Why This Role Matters

As a Relief Project Worker, you’ll help service users build resilience, develop life skills, and maintain their tenancy while promoting independence and wellbeing. You’ll work in supported housing schemes, delivering care and support that empowers individuals to take control of their lives.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide person-centred care and support using a recovery and strengths-based approach.
  • Support service users with mental health and wellbeing through individual plans.
  • Assist with tenancy management, budgeting, shopping, and daily living skills.
  • Administer medication safely and in line with policy.
  • Plan and deliver individual or group activities, including community outings.
  • Act as a key worker, maintaining accurate records and liaising with professionals.
  • Promote social inclusion and reduce stigma.
  • Work flexibly on a rota basis, including early, late, weekend, and night shifts.

What We’re Looking For - 

  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • QCF/NVQ Level 2 in a related subject (e.g., Care) and 6 months paid experience in health and social care
      OR
    • Minimum 12 months paid experience in health and social care.
  • Skills:
    • Experience motivating and supporting service users.
    • Ability to maintain records and use IT systems.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts.
    • Must register with NISCC upon appointment.
    • Access NI check required.
