Hours: 37 (Full-time)

 

At Shiels Court, we provide 24-hour supported living for adults living with a wide range of mental health diagnoses, autism, and addiction-related needs. We’re proud to offer a home to people from all walks of life, those who are finding stability, building new routines, and reconnecting with their communities.

This role isn’t just about care, it’s about building trust, supporting recovery, and being a steady hand during someone’s most important moments.

 

What Makes Shiel’s Court Special?

Shiels Court supports 12 people aged 18 to 65 across a broad spectrum of needs, including personality disorder, bipolar, dual diagnosis, and physical health concerns.

Our team is at the heart of the work, we take the time to build meaningful relationships, provide practical and emotional support, and create a strong sense of community. The people we support are active, engaged, and socially connected, enjoying:

✅ Coffee mornings, arts & crafts, and group dinners

✅ Strength-based support groups that feed into their personal support plans

✅ Outreach activities like cinema trips, walks, shopping, and dinners out

✅ 1:1 outings like gym visits, coffee runs, or games nights

 

What Does the Role Involve?

As a Project Worker, you will:

🔹 Provide daily support with medication, appointments, and health checks

🔹 Offer emotional support, help build independence, and assist with diary management

🔹 Be part of a rota of early (7:45am–3:15pm) and late shifts (3:15pm–10:15pm)

🔹 Key work 2–3 people, leading reviews, support plans, and partnership meetings

🔹 Support people to maintain their tenancy, build routines, and connect with the wider community
