Are you passionate about helping people with learning disabilities live meaningful, confident and independent lives? Inspire Wellbeing is seeking Support Workers to join our vibrant Peter’s Hill Supported Living Service in Belfast, a unique setting dedicated to high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Peter’s Hill supports individuals with learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses and complex needs, enabling them to live fulfilling lives within a modern, warm and community‑focused environment.

 About Peter’s Hill

Peter’s Hill is a specialist supported living service offering:

  • 13 single‑occupancy apartments, providing independence with personalised support
  • A focus on choice, autonomy and confidence‑building
  • A vibrant community atmosphere where each day can bring new experiences

Service users have access to a wide range of activities, including:

  • Day opportunities, college courses & volunteering schemes
  • Arts & crafts, music therapy & multisensory therapy
  • Shopping, cooking, budgeting & tenancy support
  • Leisure centre use, outings, holidays & social events

 About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide professional, compassionate and high‑quality support to people with learning disabilities, ensuring they live healthy, active, and independent lives.

You’ll Support Individuals To:

  • Build confidence and maintain independence
  • Manage physical & mental wellbeing using personalised support plans
  • Develop social, domestic, personal and community living skills
  • Access community activities, events, appointments and opportunities

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Supporting with household tasks (cleaning, meal prep, shopping)
  • Supporting medication where appropriate
  • Promoting positive routines, community participation and wellbeing
  • Offering emotional support and building relationships
  • Encouraging healthy lifestyle choices
  • Supporting holidays, outings and structured activities
  • Reducing stigma and supporting individuals through challenges
  • Safeguarding personal finance and maintaining accurate records

 What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience providing emotional support and/or household assistance
  • Understanding of intellectual disability issues
  • Willingness to work a varied shift pattern

Additional Requirements

  • This is a regulated role requiring an Enhanced Access NI check
