Support Worker – Day Care Services - Co. Sligo


Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: €17.47 – €23.22 per hour
Reports to: Team Leader

 

About the Role

Inspire is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our Day Care Services team. You will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and autism to live fulfilling lives, achieve their goals, and actively participate in their communities.

Working within a person-centred framework, you will provide practical, emotional, and social support while promoting independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion. You will work closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure high-quality care and support is delivered at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs and goals.
  • Promote independence, wellbeing, social inclusion, and community participation.
  • Support individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and health-related needs as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning and reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and infection prevention practices.
  • Participate in training, supervision, and continuous professional development.

  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to work towards achieving them.
  • Experience supporting individuals in a caring or people-focused environment.
  • An understanding of person-centred support and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to promoting independence, inclusion, and wellbeing.
  • A flexible, positive approach and a desire to continuously learn and develop.
