Join Our Team

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Training Officer to join our Mental Health and Addiction Services team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact by increasing awareness, understanding, and knowledge of mental health and wellbeing across communities and organisations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, delivering, and evaluating a range of mental health and wellbeing awareness sessions, workshops, and training programmes. If you are an experienced facilitator with excellent communication skills and a passion for promoting mental health and wellbeing, we would love to hear from you.


About the Role

As Training Officer, you will:

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver engaging mental health and wellbeing awareness sessions within communities and organisations.
  • Create accessible, informative, and interactive training materials and presentations.
  • Gather, monitor, and report on evaluation and participation data to measure impact and inform service development.
  • Keep up to date with developments and best practice in mental health and wellbeing to ensure training content remains accurate and relevant.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community groups, referral agencies, stakeholders, and the wider public.
  • Promote services and maximise participation in training programmes and awareness sessions.


About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience designing and delivering training, workshops, or awareness sessions.
  • Has excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Is confident engaging with a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Has an understanding of mental health and wellbeing issues and a commitment to promoting positive mental health.
  • Has strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Can collect, analyse, and report on monitoring and evaluation data.
  • Is passionate about improving wellbeing outcomes within local communities.

Additional Information

This post is based at Lombard House and is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 30 hours per week.
