As we embark on an ambitious finance transformation programme and implement Access Financials as our new finance platform, we're looking for an experienced and curious professional to help us unlock the full value of our systems, data and reporting capabilities.

This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal stage in its transformation journey. You'll play a key role in turning data into insight, improving how information flows across the organisation and helping leaders make better, more informed decisions that ultimately support the delivery of life-changing services.

About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation, development and optimisation of Access Financials across the organisation.

You will help ensure that our financial systems are operating effectively, producing reliable information and delivering meaningful insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with Finance, IT, operational managers and external suppliers, you will develop reports, dashboards and business intelligence solutions that transform financial and non-financial data into valuable organisational insight.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, solving problems, enhancing reporting and helping others make greater use of financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, maintenance and development of Access Financials.
  • Act as a key point of contact for finance systems users across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and management information.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting processes.
  • Assist in maintaining robust system controls, data integrity and financial governance.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop reporting solutions that meet business needs.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and support system upgrades, testing and enhancements.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

Essential

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent) or significant relevant experience.
  • Experience working with financial systems or ERP platforms.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel capability.
  • Experience using Power BI and Power Query.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and user-friendly way.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities.
