About Climate Minds NI:

Climate Minds NI is a partnership between Live Here Love Here and Inspire Wellbeing that explores the relationship between climate action, mental wellbeing and community resilience. Through the project, 16 Climate Action Groups will be established across Northern Ireland, supporting people from underrepresented communities to co-design local climate solutions, strengthen wellbeing and take positive environmental action. Funded through The National Lottery Community Fund's Climate Action Fund, the project aims to create lasting community impact beyond the life of the programme.

Main Function

The Climate Minds NI Training Officer will be responsible for the design, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of a framework of awareness raising sessions, workshops and training relating to climate anxiety and how it intersects with wider social, economic and health inequalities. The session delivery will take place mainly face to face with online delivery on occasion.

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Training Officer to join our Insight, Engagement & Innovation team on a 36-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact by increasing awareness, understanding, and knowledge of mental health and wellbeing across communities and organisations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, delivering, and evaluating a range of mental health and wellbeing awareness sessions, workshops, and training programmes. About the Role

As Climate Minds NI Training Officer, you will:

Design, co-ordinate and deliver Climate Minds NI mental health and wellbeing awareness sessions in the community in line with the project’s intended outcomes.
Create and deliver engaging and, where possible, co-designed accessible materials and presentations.
Support participants to deliver a climate action project in their community.
Manage the collation and reporting of agreed evaluation and monitoring data for group sessions and contribute to the analysis of trends and insights to inform the project.
Maintain specialist knowledge in areas of expertise including topics relating to mental health and wellbeing in order to produce current, validated delivery content.
Develop strong relationships with communities, referral agencies and the wider public to promote the work of Climate Minds NI and help maximise participation.

About You

We are looking for someone with

Demonstrable experience in the delivery of training regarding mental health and wellbeing to a wide range of audiences within a community and/or health setting.
Demonstrable experience in the design of training materials and presentations using a co-designed approach.
Experience of working within an evaluation and outcome framework.
Demonstrable experience of working in partnership and fostering relationships through networking with a range of stakeholders.
Strong administrative, written and presentational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively.

This post is based at Lombard House and is offered on a 36-month fixed-term contract, working 22 hours per week.
